Wife Of Malaysian Prince Flees Home To Indonesia Following Abuse Claims (Dasiy Fararina)

US-Indonesian model Manohara Odelia Pinot (L), the now-estranged wife of Tengku Temenggong Mohammad Fakhry; the Prince of Malaysia's Kelantan state, meets with the media after being interviewed on local television on June 2, 2009 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Manohara Odelia Pinot, the 17-year old model and well-known Jakarta socialite, married the Malaysian Prince ten months ago in 2008 but has returned to her family claiming she was held captive and treated as a sex slave during their union. She claimed that she saw her chance to escape last weekend, upon travelling with her husband to Singapore, where his father, was receiving medical treatment. Her mother, Dasiy Fararina, intends to press charges against the Prince, and criticised the Malaysian and Indonesian governments for covering up the alleged abuse.
